All of our cooked meals and snacks are nutritionally balanced, along with a variety of multi cultural foods for the children to enjoy. There is great emphasis on healthy eating, and we provide a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, daily. We also encourage the children to participate in making/preparing food, so they have a greater understanding of where the food comes from, and how it can be used. The children are also able to easily access drink throughout the day, this is not restricted to meal times.

We have an allotment situated locally to the Kindergarten, where we grow our own produce. With the help and donations given by the parents, we have developed a place for the children to visit and enjoy learning how and where food comes from. We go to the allotment regularly each week to maintain the variety of fruits and vegetables we grow and greatly enjoy for our snacks and lunches.

The Kindergarten staff and children are encouraged to recycle. We help the children understand how to recycle, and the effects of recycling on our environment.
